There’s No Place Like Summer Camp!

Camp Sharlie’s 2016 programming is rooted in adventurous pursuits like stand-up paddling, white water rafting and sailing! We guide campers (ages 4 – 13) through the exhilarating environment surrounding McCall as they learn new skills, make new friends and connect with nature. Excursions to Josephine Lake, Goldfork, Upper North Fork, Crystal Mountain and Burgdorf Hot Springs are all part of our action-packed summer camp, along with other super-cool destinations right here in Shore Lodge’s backyard.

Choose your age-appropriate adventures by the half/full day, week, or the whole month! Our calendar is overflowing with stimulating activities to encourage physical fitness and creative boosts by way of bike riding, hiking, Frisbee golf, water sports, rope swings, rock climbing, wildlife education, painting, drawing and tie-dying!

Our energetic crew of certified counselors encourages campers to have fun while maintaining a safe environment. Check out this profile of one of the many joyful counselors on staff:

How to Find Camp Sharlie: Camp Sharlie’s Base Camp is located on Herrick Street. From the entrance of Shore Lodge, follow the walking path to the west. Pass the spa and tennis courts, and go through the tunnel below Warren Wagon Road. When you reach the white tent and trailer, you’re here. It’s approximately a five-minute walk.

  • Bring a backpack stuffed with summer-friendly goodies like flip flops (for the pool), a hat, reusable water bottle, sunscreen (spray preferred), swimsuit, towel and extra snacks (optional)
  • Please leave your game players, cell phones and expensive technology at home. We don’t want these items to get lost or damaged while we explore the rugged outdoors. Camp counselors are not responsible for them; They’ll be too busy protecting and providing for the campers.
  • We require an updated registration and health form at least one day prior to your camper’s participation.
