Blooming Into Action At Shore Lodge
The effects of winter are still going strong at Shore Lodge, and so are our ever-popular snow-filled activities. That being said, we are already looking forward to all of the adventures and excitement coming our way this spring. From hiking and mountain biking in the freshly snow-cleared trails of McCall, to fishing and catching sightings of local wildlife, we’re taking in all of the blissful snow while still keeping an eye out for the upcoming bloom.
Indoors, our newly renovated Theater at Shore Lodge can take the kiddos on a getaway for the senses with our Spring Break Lunch and A Movie series. At 1pm every day from March 25th – April 2nd, our young guests will enjoy a wonderful lunch offering from the children’s menu at Narrows Grill before settling into ultra-cushy chairs and becoming engrossed in the feature film of the day. Cost is $10 per child plus tax and gratuity.
Next up on our spring agenda is the 4th Annual Shore Lodge Culinary Festival. April 7th–9th will bring a weekend bursting with epicurean delight, featuring our popular Culinary King of the Mountain competition, which pits three of Idaho’s top chefs in a battle for the crown against the reigning champ. It all starts on Friday night with four simultaneous cooking classes and a Meet the Chefs welcome reception.
Saturday (April 8th) will pack a punch with the Culinary King of the Mountain competition, and Farmers and Fair Trade Market, where local purveyors will display some of Idaho’s finest goods. The evening includes a Wine Education Class followed by our Winemaker’s Dinner with culinary pairings from each of our competing chefs and our guest vineyard, the Wagner Family of Wine featuring Caymus Vineyard. We will conclude the weekend of foodie fireworks with a fantastic farewell Sunday brunch.
Further down the road, the Shore Lodge Concert Series returns Saturday, April 22nd to rock the house down with the Spring Concert. We’ve had some great performers grace our stage during past events — the Magnolia Sisters and Super Diamond, the Niel Diamond Tribute, to name a couple — and this year we’re not holding back. We’re very excited about the performance that we have lined up for this event, so stay tune to find out more!
There’s so much more blossoming into fruition this spring, and we can’t wait to share it all with you, so stay tuned for updates!
