Shore-Lodge-winter-scene
From lift-served mountain biking and Nordic skiing, to white water rafting and world-class fishing, McCall, Idaho, packs more adventure into 10 square miles than most places could even dream of. While it’d be nice to keep it our little secret, this quiet, mountain-lake town is fast becoming a household name among outdoor enthusiasts and adrenaline junkies alike — and we’d like to think we’re right in the mix, especially since both McCall and yours truly, Shore Lodge, were nominated as finalists for Sunset magazine’s inaugural Travel Awards.

Yes, one of the nation’s top travel publications has entered the awards arena and we believe it has Oscar-like potential. Recognizing achievement in lodging, dining, cultural tourism, outdoor adventure and many other categories, the Sunset Travel Awards will soon honor a select few in the industry across 13 Western states, British Columbia and Alberta. While we wait patiently to hear the results, we are reveling in the honor in simply being named a finalist. This week, Sunset listed its nominees which include McCall, Idaho, for Best Adventure Town and Shore Lodge for Best Hotel Restaurant. We could not be more excited!

Winners will be announced in Sunset’s June issue, but don’t wait until then. Plan your McCall, Idaho vacation now and see for yourself what adventure looks like. While you’re here, stay awhile in any of our luxurious suites and enjoy stunning views, world-class dining, award-winning spa services and much more.
