Shore-Lodge-Culinary-Festival-2014Excitement is in the air at Shore Lodge as we get ready to kick off our first-ever Culinary Festival this weekend. The three-day event will be jam-packed with entertainment, including cooking classes, friendly competition, and amazing selection of food and drink to boot. And guess what? Some of the fun is totally free!

On Saturday, we will proudly host two events that are free and open to the public. Firstly, the much-anticipated Culinary King Of The Mountain competition, held from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Upper Pavilion. The competition will not only be highly entertaining but fierce as four local celebrity chefs put their friendships aside and turn up the heat to go head-to-head in a “Chopped” inspired competition.

Meanwhile, in the Lower Pavilion, guests can peruse the Farmer’s Market and Fair, where a number of local venders will offer a wide variety of locally sourced meats, cheeses, fresh organic vegetables and much more.

The Farmer’s Market is also free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. More than 25 vendors will be showcasing great products including:

Northwood Buffalo, Huston Vineyards, Periple Wines, Panther Ranch, Telay Winery, Patsy Kelley, Bella Kitchen, Owen Roe, May Hardware, Evening Rise, Elk Horn Bed and Breakfast, Rockin One Knives, Fish Breeders of Idaho, Ballard Cheese Farm, Gitta Duponte High End Baked Goods, Waterwheel Produce, Extravagonzo Foods/Boise, Black Pine Deer Farm, Corey Crane, Ocean Beauty, Agri Beef, Volcanic Farms, Natures Table Farms, Alpicella, Homemade by Dorothy and Blue Sage Dairy Farm.
