It’s a bittersweet time as we gear up to say goodbye to golf season in McCall. After months of perfect weather, great course conditions and another successful Payette Cup, the Whitetail Club team is preparing the greens for the white winter ahead. But before we trade in the sand wedges for ski boots, Head Golf Pro and PGA Professional Todd Bindner has one last quick tip for those participating in this weekend’s end-of-season club tournament as well as our traveling friends who might be playing around the world this winter.

Gauging distance is key to a strong wedge game. Here, Todd shows a great, easy drill that can be done on the driving range (either indoors or out) that will help golfers understand their swing and distance perception just that much better:

Thank you for another incredible season; we hope everyone enjoyed staying at Shore Lodge and playing the Whitetail Club course this year.  If you have yet to get up here and enjoy the 7,200 yard, par-72 award winning course, plan your trip to McCall soon. Another beautiful summer will be here before you know it!
