The country charmer whose crisp baritone and forward-thinking tastes captivated American Idol’s 16th season has an adventurous batch of original music underway. As one of the genre’s finest new vocals, Hutchinson reaches back through history in an artistic move that combines the classics with the contemporary into a soulful, harmonic union.

In 2017 he set out to compete in American Idol, moving seamlessly between traditional giants like Keith Whitley and modern stars like Sturgill Simpson, while his dynamic Southern vocals shone on Carrie Underwood’s “So Small” as they did on Prince’s “When Doves Cry.” By the show’s finale, he had earned a strong second-place finish. But it felt more like a beginning than an end.

“There’s a path in country that nobody’s really on right now, and even if the music I make is a little out in left field … it will be something you’ve never heard before” Hutchinson says.

This November, Hutchinson brings his eclectic and stirring sounds to our small town for the Shore Lodge Fall Concert series, and it’ll be one you won’t want to miss.
