The Shore Lodge Culinary Festival is back, and this year’s serving of sizzling competition and foodie festivities has all the fresh and fiery fixin’s needed for a world-class culinary event.
As with previous years, the fifth annual Culinary Festival will be chock-full of activities, from the highly anticipated Culinary King of the Mountain competition and a Farmer’s and Fair Trade Market to an entire weekend of foodie favorite flicks at The Theater at Shore Lodge, and more!
The weekend of culinary greatness kicks off April 6th with our Friday Night Festivities! Mix it up at the Meet the Chefs reception, which provides the perfect opportunity to catch up with old friends and make some like-minded new ones. While there, be sure to scope out the talent and see who you’ll be cheering for during the big competition.
The next day brings us the Saturday Slug Fest! Catch the action of the Culinary King Of The Mountain competition as four of Idaho’s top chefs battle it out to see who will reign supreme. And if front row isn’t close enough, take your chance in the ring with the Chef’s Package, which puts you in on the action. This package lets you be a part of the show, working alongside the chefs to bring home the glory, and rest up for the event with a one night Lake View King suite fit for a king at Shore Lodge. Additionally, you’ll receive a welcome kit with trade tools and admission to all of the weekend’s events, all for just $419. These spaces are limited, be sure to sign up today! For those that are more culinary lovers than fighters, a la carte tickets to the events are also available, and what’s a competition without spectators to cheer our competitors on?
Saturday, April 7 also brings us the Farmer’s and Fair Trade Market, a great place to shop between all the action and indulge your newfound culinary inspiration with fresh artisanal products from local vendors. This is the perfect opportunity to support our community and discover exciting new local options. This fresh and wholesome event will take place from 10am – 2pm. Be sure to get there early for the best selection.
But the weekend isn’t all about fast-paced thrills. Those who prefer a Weekend Wine Down will find plenty of activities to satisfy their cravings, including Saturday evening’s wine education class, followed by Shore Lodge’s Winemakers Dinner. During which, guests can enjoy a serving of culinary delights from each of our competing chefs, paired expertly with selections from our featured vendor, Merryvale Vineyards.
Then we’ll say farewell with our Sunday sayonara brunch, served at The Cutwater on Payette Lake.
