The Pacific Northwest affords us many gifts: breathtaking scenery, endless recreational pursuits, unique culinary delights and wine. Unique, beautiful wine. The region’s emerging wine culture has produced some of the nation’s most notable winemakers and vineyards, two of which are making a guest appearance in McCall this winter. On Saturday, December 6, we are thrilled to welcome Corliss Estates and Tranche Cellars to The Narrows for our next winemaker’s dinner.
These esteemed labels hail from Walla Walla, Washington, a small city with a booming wine scene. Just hours from the town on McCall, Walla Walla is now home to more than 100 winemakers, including the sisters wineries of Corliss and Tranche. As winemakers Michael and Lauri Corliss explain, the two have very distinct personalities and profiles, much like siblings would. Corliss is timeless while Tranche is more cutting edge. Neither compromise quality, they just have distinctly different paths to achieving it.
On December 6, the paths converge in the dining room of The Narrows where the two will be showcased together in a five-course pairing dinner by Executive Chef Steven Topple. His expertly crafted menu will help each varietal sing.
The exclusive dinner is priced at $119++ per person. Those who wish to make a night of the grand event can indulge in overnight lodging in a Lake View Suite, offered as a package in addition to dinner tickets starting at $172 per person, based on double occupancy. Reservations can be made online or by calling 208-634-2244.
