October 2024

Ahh, fall. We ‘c’ you.

Classic comforts.
Craft cocktails.
Cool weather.
Cozy vibes.
And other c’s we love.

Before fall arrived in McCall, transforming our landscape with golden hues, our creative mixologists and culinary team were brewing some crafts of their own. Stay warm and toasty with our new seasonal cocktails at The Bar and our limited-time menu items, including a Warm Apple Fritter and Three Cheese Fondue.

Craft Cocktails

Our lineup of fall cocktails is here! Starting 10.02, we’re waving goodbye to our summer cocktails and introducing five new libations at The Bar.

Rumspresso Martini

Espresso Martinis aren’t new to the cocktail scene, but boy, are they the latest rave. And we totally get why. It’s a nice pick-me-up at Happy Hour after work. Doubles as a digestif. And is guaranteed to garner some extra likes on Instagram. Our mixologists thought, why not take an Espresso Martini and make it our own? The Rumspresso Martini is our twist to the traditional caffeinated cocktail, packing a java punch. Hold the vodka – we’re bringing in rum. Prepared with Flor de Caña Rum, Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, Sweetwater vanilla cardamom syrup, and espresso, end your workday, start the night, or complete your dinner with our Rumspresso Martini.

Cinnamon Stout Irish Coffee

Coffee and cocktails are the new bread and butter. And we aren’t complaining. Except we wanted to add an element of fall into the mix, like cinnamon. Yes, you read that right. Cinnamon! Our new Cinnamon Stout Irish Coffee is crafted with Jameson Stout, Fireball, demerara sugar, coffee, whipped cream, and garnished with chocolate shavings, doubling it as a dessert for all our 21+ guests.

Cran-Rosemary Mule

Fun fact: Did you know National Cranberry Month is in October? What better time to introduce our Cran-Rosemary Mule! And luckily for you, it’s not an October exclusive. Available all season long, our Cran-Rosemary Mule is refreshing and tart. Our twist on a traditional Moscow Mule has Reyka Vodka, lime juice, rosemary simple syrup, cranberry juice, and ginger beer, making this spirit bright and festive.

Rye Chai Tea Toddy

Rye Chai Tea Toddy

Imagine you just finished shredding some snow at Brundage Mountain or exploring trails around McCall, and you’re ready for some warmth. You can lounge in our lobby, sitting next to our fireplace. Or you can sit at The Bar and order our Rye Chai Tea Toddy. Made with Rittenhouse Rye, chai simple syrup, lemon juice, and cloves, this winter toddy is exactly what you seek. A little bit of comfort and lots of warmth at your fingertips.

Shore Fashion

It’s an oldie but a classic. One that never fails to make its annual debut. The Shore Fashion. How could we not bring it back? This timeless cocktail is rich and smooth, making it ideal for any occasion. Pre-dinner drink, a classy night out, or a casual cocktail for date night. This libation is crafted with Knob Creek Private Barrel Bourbon, Amaretto, Black Walnut Bitters, honey simple syrup, and garnished with an orange peel. A reminder that some classics never go out of style!

Culinary Comforts

We’re nestling into the chillier months here at Shore Lodge. As we bundle up in layers and seek the comfort of the indoors, what better way to stay warm than the comfort of classics? For a limited time only, we’re serving up two new menu items: Warm Apple Fritters and Three Cheese Fondue.

Warm Apple Fritters

October is the month of spooky films, festive pumpkin carving, and bountiful apple harvesting. This year’s harvest brought in a lot of crisp apples, which got our Pastry Chef thinking. In celebration of National Applejack Month, The Cutwater on Payette Lake and The Bar will be serving Warm Apple Fritters. Accompanied with an Applejack Crème Anglaise and Salted Caramel Sauce, dip in and discover your favorite combination.

Available only in October at The Cutwater on Payette Lake and The Bar.

Traditionally, November is the month when winter gently reminds us of its impending arrival with the season’s first snowfall. It also marks the start of National Fondue Month. With fondue’s common association with the Alps and winter, how couldn’t we bring this classic to our menus? Available only at The Bar, order a glass of wine to accompany your Three Cheese Fondue for a girl’s weekend Happy Hour. Or, with football season here, rep your favorite team’s jersey (Go Boise State!) and watch the game on the big screen as you dip fingerling potatoes, celery, radish, and garlic sourdough bread into our cheesy fondue.

Available only in November at The Bar.

Three Cheese Fondue

The change in season brings new flavors, and we can’t wait for you to try them. Ensure you make reservations at The Cutwater on Payette Lake and swing by The Bar to try our new menu items.
