HISTORY
Nestled in the spectacular Salmon River Mountains, McCall, Idaho is rooted in the spirit of recreation and exploration. In the late 19th century, as the U.S. population grew exponentially, the McCall family traded a team of horses for a cabin and 160 acres of land. Within the dense Ponderosa pines they established a school, a saloon, a post office, and a hotel. Shore Lodge has been the preeminent Idaho vacation destination for adventurous pursuits since 1948, serving families, couples and group events.
