Winters in McCall are truly a snow lover’s paradise, and at Shore Lodge, we want to ensure that you have full access to all the adventures available, which is why our shuttle gets you to neighboring Brundage Mountain for some of the Best Snow in Idaho™. But it’s not all alpine and aerials. Enjoy backcountry skiing, snowmobiling to hot springs (more on that later), snowshoeing, sledding and more.

Behind 2,000 gallons of Idaho’s finest saltwater and tropical fish display, you can let your imagination run wild at The Tank, an analog game room bursting with classic board games, puzzles, a foosball table, giant connect-four and more!
CONVENIENTLY LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE CUTWATER ON PAYETTE LAKE AND ACROSS FROM THE THEATER, THE TANK IS A GREAT WAY TO SPEND TIME BEFORE CATCHING A MOVIE OR A BITE.
SOAK IT UP
Taking a plunge while surrounded by a blanket of snow may seem like a daunting feat, but here in McCall, it is a favorite pastime. In fact, for many locals and visitors alike, there’s nothing quite like taking a snowmobile trip to our nearest hot spring, or an après ski soak. Luckily, McCall is a short drive from some of the country’s most incredible naturally occurring hot springs.
IDAHO IS HOME TO 130 NATURAL HOT SPRINGS, WHICH RANGE IN AESTHETIC FROM RUSTIC TO MOUNTAIN MODERN.
DIVE IN
No matter what the temperature is like outside, fun can be had in our heated outdoor pool and hot tub. After playing in the pristine snow, head into the warmth of our water, perfect for swimming laps, a hot soak or a fierce game of Marco Polo.
THESE LOCAL “HOT SPOTS” PROVIDE ACCESS TO STUNNING VIEWS ANY TIME OF YEAR. IN FACT ITS NOT UNCOMMON TO CATCH A FELLOW SWIMMER SOAKING IT IN DURING THE SNOW SEASON.
PONDEROSA STATE PARK
In the winter months, this expansive peninsula which juts into Payette Lake transforms into miles of groomed cross-country and snowshoe trails, ranging in intensity from beginners to advanced.
LOCATED JUST UNDER 3 MILES FROM SHORE LODGE, PONDEROSA STATE PARK IS A SHORT DRIVE AWAY.
FOLLOW A TRAIL
McCall is home to three amazing breweries, and The McCall Ale Trail is the best way to sample them all while exploring local shops and potentially winning prizes. Simply pick up your McCall Ale Trail passport at the McCall Area Chamber of Commerce or at any one of the participating breweries and restaurants along the trail. Then, set off on your journey.

TAKE A SPIN
Just because there’s snow on the ground doesn’t mean your bike days are behind you. Take a spin through town or explore the wintery wonderland of the forest on a fat bike. These winter bikes feature 4-inch tires which provide excellent traction on snow and ice. Our Concierge can help you get set up with a bike rental and directions to the best trails in the area.
