Perched on the shores of Payette Lake and sitting pretty in the Salmon River Mountains, McCall is a jewel of a mountain town. Amidst gorgeous forested landscapes, four seasons of outdoor recreation await. But winter is a highlight. McCall has an unpretentious vibe and is home to two ski resorts with over 500 miles of groomed snowmobile and Nordic trails, fantastic snowshoeing, relaxing spas, and so much more – all just two hours from Boise.
Whether you live nearby and want a staycation or come from farther afield, the colder months in McCall beckon those who desire a winter playground with an impressive variety of activities on offer. An annual average of 132 inches of fresh powder practically guarantees it!
