Employee Housing

Our organization recognizes that a housing program is a necessity in our industry, and a key benefit based on our location. Allowing our transient seasonal population a place to come and go without having to sign lengthy leases is a wonderful perk. We have had countless seasonal staff turn into year-around staff or return for additional seasons thanks to access to housing. Housing is also a requirement for our J1 Visa employees. Lastly, employee housing provides new hires that will be finding their own homes with short-term lodging while they find something for themselves. This allows employees to commit to a job and begin working for us without the delays and worries of finding a more permanent solution.

Shore Lodge and Whitetail Club provide employee-housing options as a privilege to its employees. While availability is limited, the Company offers this living accommodation as an additional benefit to help defer the cost and inconvenience of obtaining housing on your own.

Eligibility
Individuals who are interested in reserving a bed space in employee housing must have first received an Offer Letter of employment from a Shore Lodge Hiring Manager. Once you are a confirmed new-hire or re-hire employee, you will be required to complete and submit a Housing Application (PDF link provided below). In order to be eligible for housing, employees must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and working a minimum of 30 hours per week. Availability is limited and reservations are required. Individuals who have successfully reserved a bed space in employee housing will receive a confirmation email from the Shore Lodge Housing Coordinator.

  • Employee Housing check-in hours, by appointment: 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday at the Shore Lodge Whitetail LLC Corporate Building, Human Resources Office (800 Lakeside Avenue, McCall, ID 83638). Weekend check-in is not available.
  • Move-in cost, which is first month’s rent and security deposit (equal to one month’s rent), are DUE UPON MOVE-IN. Acceptable payment methods are cash, credit/debit card or check.
  • Rent is deducted from paychecks on a bi-weekly basis. Rent includes water, sewer, trash, power and snow removal. WiFi and cable television are provided at the dormitory and Quads properties only.
  • Bedding (pillow, sheets, comforter) and towels are NOT PROVIDED.
  • Roommate or house mate requests can be accepted, but not guaranteed. Males will reside with males, females will reside with females.
  • Couples and family housing options are limited and based on availability, upon request.
  • Over-night guests are not permitted in shared housing.
  • Flexible length of stay; No lease term. A three (3)-day notice to vacate employee housing is required by the tenant or by Shore Lodge Whitetail LLC (upon termination of employment).
  • Smoking on Shore Lodge Whitetail LLC property is not permitted.
  • Pets are not permitted at either dormitory property, at the Quads Housing Complex or in the two-bedroom shared condos. Pet-friendly accommodations (single condos and family housing) are limited and based on availability, upon request. All pets must be pre-approved by the Housing Coordinator.
  • Vehicles: Each employee housing tenant is allowed one parking space, free of charge.
The Bunk House and 800 Corporate Building properties provide dormitory-style living accommodations for seasonal employees. Each tenant will share one room with two or three twin beds. There are communal living areas with free DIRECTV and WiFi, restrooms, showers and a laundry facility located inside the Bunk House and 800 Corporate Building Dorms.

What to bring:

  • Twin-size bedding: Sheets, pillow, comforter
  • Bath towel
  • Shower caddy for shower supplies
  • Additional items you may consider bringing or purchasing upon arrival: Laundry hamper, clothes hangers (several hangers are provided), surge protector/power strip, U.S. power adapter if you’re coming from another country.

800 Corporate Building Dormitory

Corp Building Dorm Exterior Physical address: 800 Lakeside Avenue, McCall, ID 83638
Two-bed shared room: $225 per month, per person. $225 deposit.
Three-bed shared room: $175 per month, per person. $175 deposit.
Eligible employees: Seasonal

  • Two-drawer dresser per person
  • One standing wardrobe with drawers per person
  • Small garbage can

Additional amenities at the 800 Corporate Building include:

  • Game room
  • Fitness Center
  • Employee cafeteria with microwave, toaster, communal refrigerator for dorm tenant’s use

Bunk House Dormitory

Bunk House Exterior Physical address: 1000 W. Lake Street, McCall, ID 83638
Two-bed room: $175 per month, per person. $175 deposit.
Eligible employees: Seasonal

Furnishings in dorm rooms generally include:

  • Bunk bed (2 twin beds) with two built-in drawers
  • Wall mounted television with DIRECTV
  • Shared closet with shelf
  • Shared mini-refrigerator
  • Small garbage can

Additional amenities at the Bunk House include:

  • Communal kitchen with two microwaves, one refrigerator and two dishwashers for dorm tenant’s use.

Bunk House tenants should plan to purchase their own cooking utensils: Paper plates, bowls, cups and plastic silverware.

The Quads Housing Complex provides apartment-style living accommodations for year-round and seasonal employees. Each unit has four private bedrooms, two shared restrooms, a communal living room with free DIRECTV and WiFi, dining area, kitchenette (no stove/oven) and outdoor patio. An off-site laundry facility is located nearby.

Quads Exterior

Physical address: 800 Lakeside Avenue, Suite B, McCall, ID 83638
Private bedroom, shared bathroom:
$400 per person, per month. $400 deposit.
Eligible employees: All

Furnishings in Quads units generally include:

  • Living Room: Sofa, lounge chairs, side table, coffee table, television with DIRECTV
  • Dining Room: Table and 4 chairs
  • Kitchenette: Fridge, microwave, dish drying rack, trash can
  • Bedroom: Full-size bed with built in drawers and shelves, nightstand, closet
  • Restroom: garbage can

What to bring:

  • Full-size bedding: Sheets, pillow, comforter
  • Kitchen and bath towels
  • Shower caddy for shower supplies
  • Cleaning Supplies
  • Personal items
  • Additional items you may consider bringing or purchasing upon arrival: Laundry hamper, clothes hangers, fan, small trash can for room, surge protector/power strip, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags
The condos property provides apartment-style living accommodations for eligible employees. Each unit has a living room, dining area and full kitchen. An off-site coin-operated laundry facility is located nearby.

One bedroom, one-bathroom condo:
$600 per month. $600 deposit.
Eligible employees:
Supervisor or higher, couples, year-round specialized positions

One Bedroom Condo is unfurnished – tenant is expected to supply all furnishings.

Condo Exterior

Two bedroom, two-bathroom shared condo
(private room and bathroom, rented per person):
$400 per month. $400 deposit.
Eligible employees: Year-round, seasonal supervisors, seasonal specialized positions.
Housemates assigned by Housing Coordinator.

Two-bedroom, two-bathroom family condo:
$900 per month. $900 deposit.
Eligible employees: Year-round employees with families (immediate family members)

Furnishings in two-bedroom shared condos and family units generally include:

  • Living Room: Sofa, lounge chair, side table, coffee table, television (DIRECTV and WiFi not provided)
  • Dining Area: Table and 4 chairs
  • Kitchen: Fridge, stove/oven, microwave, silverware, dishware, drinking glasses, garbage can
  • Downstairs Bedroom (enclosed room): Queen bed, closet, dresser, nightstand, lamp
  • Up-stairs Bedroom (semi-enclosed loft): Queen bed, closet, nightstand, dresser
  • Tenants may not move additional furnishings into these units, storage space is limited

What to bring:

  • Queen-size bedding: Sheets, pillow, comforter
  • Kitchen and bath towels
